Christie Park Estate Real Estate Listings and Information
What is situated south of Strathcona Drive, west of the Sarcee Trail, south of 17th avenue, and west of 69th street is the twenty-three year old community of Christie Park. Originally developed from the ashes of the 1980’s is this community that was built on an elevated plateau which allows for excellent views of the rest of Calgary, and the Elbow and Bow River Valleys. Christie Park is a bit of an upscale neighborhood but the real estate here is fair-priced with a multitude of different properties available.
Olympic Heights elementary school lies right in the heart of the community and upon completion of fifth grade, public school students are then assigned to attend Vincent Massey junior high and Ernest Manning senior high school. The Catholic school students of Christie Park become acquainted with the nearby John Costello elementary, St. Gregory and St. Michael junior high, and St. Mary’s and Bishop Carroll senior high schools.
All within ten minutes of the community are some beautiful and gorgeous parks including Edworthy Park, Strathcona Park, and Optimist Athletic Park. The Strathcona Ravines are a natural environmental reserve enclosed by the communities of Strathcona and by Christie Park. It’s a classic ravine in the wild of Calgary that’s hosted within walking distance – definitely worth the trip exploring. A few minutes down the Sarcee Trail are some great shopping opportunities with an Indigo Book store, a Canadian Tire, Good Life Fitness, a Superstore, and a # of clothing outfits to browse.
Calgary Transit has stops that line Strathcona Drive and 17th avenue that make it easy for anyone in the community to make it out to other parts of the city.
Christie Park finds that balance in real estate with high quality properties available at an affordable price – it’s a community for naturists, explorers, and amidst all of the green are still opportunities to catch an event in the city and make it back all before dinner time.Could not retrieve response from CS server which is likely undergoing maintenance at this time, please try again shortly.
