Ogden and Lynnwood are residential neighbourhoods in the south-east quadrant of Calgary and are part of the Millican-Ogden community.  Lynnwood/Millican/Ogden is bounded by Glenmore Trail to the south, Deerfoot Trail and the Bow River to the west, and the CPR tracks and the industrial areas of Ogden Shops to the north and east.

Established in 1912, Ogden itself is one of Calgary’s oldest communities with many beautiful vintage homes. Lynnwood, located on the southwest corner of Millican Ogden is along the western escarpment of the Bow River and lays claim to exceptional views of downtown and the Rockies.  

The community association of Millican/Ogden serves all three neighborhoods and plays a major role in promoting the overall well-being of residents. The association has programs and recreational activities to suit all ages and interests, such as skating, swimming and children’s dances. The resource centre, maintained by the community association offers playgroups, parenting classes, job search support, computer skills training, a toy lending library and an emergency food bank. There are annual special events held throughout the year including Winterfest, Canada Day celebrations and Community Days that bring residents together in a fun, friendly atmosphere.

There is no shortage of green space, parks and recreational opportunities for residents of Ogden/Lynwood. The Bow River Valley and its extensive pathway system provide miles and miles of trails for biking, walking and jogging.  On the eastern bank of the Bow River is Beaver Dam Flats, a 106 acre nature park that offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and cross country skiing in the winter. The community has a pool, an ice arena for hockey and skating, as well Pop Davies Athletic Park that has two sports fields and five baseball diamonds.

Residents of Lynnwood/Millican/Ogden have access to plenty of shopping and good restaurants. Being well-connected to major transportation routes makes getting around to other parts of Calgary quick and easy.

There are three schools that serve the communities of Lynnwood/Millican/Ogden: Banting and Best Elementary School and Sherwood Community School are public schools and St. Bernadette Elementary is the Catholic school. Junior high students can attend Sherwood, Fairview (Fr.), St. Augustine and Ecole St. Matthew (Fr.). Designated senior high schools are Western Canada (Fr.), Centennial and Bishop Grandin.
