Pass the Home Inspection
Once you have accepted an offer on your home, the buyer will still have a few conditions to satisfy before the sale becomes firm. Most of the time they will want to do a home inspection to make sure there are no major problems or defects with the home. Therefore it is a very good idea for you as the seller to be proactive and fix all of the problems you know about before you even put the home on the market. Some people will even get a home inspection on their own home to make sure there will be no surprises when the buyer has their inspection done. This can avoid having the buyer trying to renegotiate the price to compensate for any major defects their inspector finds.
